Personal One-to-One Sessions

Mark Hayley is the one who works with people to make the changes for individuals and groups of people.

Mark says: “Since 1998 I have worked with individuals for many different things, including getting rid of phobias and irrational fears, stopping addictions such as gambling, drinking too much alcohol, using cocaine (sometimes those I worked with were drinking alcohol and using cocaine together), stopping shopping addictions, etc.

Most important is having the change process be as effective and as easy as possible (you may be surprised, this is very do-able). Keep in mind that effectiveness more often than not, includes feeling good.

Think about it for a moment. The things that you are good at you enjoy doing, do you not? We enjoy stuff, we think clearer and our mental and physical reflexes are much sharper. That is a scientifically acknowledged fact.

Also, what we enjoy, we do more of. The more we of it we do, the better we get at it. Simple.

Now, if it is something such as a phobia of spiders, you may not want to feel good around spiders. But you don’t want to feel bad around spiders either…so how about feeling curious? Or even feeling indifferent?

When we are motivated it is much easier to change for good. If you need motivation, I can help you with that to. It is relatively straightforward to manifest powerful motivation when you know how. Just follow the simple instructions that I give.

One of the first things that we will do is to ensure that you have clarity of thought in what you want.

Planning what you want specifically is very important. Most people have spent a lot of time thinking or reliving what they don’t want but very little time and effort aiming themselves and all of their resources at exactly what they do want!

Let’s face it, some times it is necessary to have an experienced and skilful person to guide you objectively to where you want or need to go.

I also assist people in enhancing that which is already good. Such as greater confidence, more passion, happiness and enthusiasm at work and play. You tell me what is already good but could be better and I will show you how.

Sports Enhancement

Both amateur and professional sportspeople invest much effort, energy, emotion and time into their chosen sport.

With many sportspeople now recognizing how essential it is, and when taught, how relatively easy it is, to get into the zone at will and maintain that winning mindset.

There are many sportspeople that I have worked with - from golfers to boxers - that have vastly improved their game and their earnings.

Many had invested a lot of time and money with various coaches and hypnotherapists, with minimal results.

I showed them how easily and quickly they can be at their best.

Most importantly, I taught them how to do this independently of any coach or third-party. Easy, when you know how.

Another welcome side-effect of this, is that they up their income considerably more than they ever believed possible! Strengthening existing sponsorships, gaining new sponsorships and often getting lucrative new contracts come renewal time.

One of the precious benefits of this way of doing things is not rewarded financially (at least not directly). What I speak of is the love that they have regained for their chosen sport.

After dissipating the pressures that had seemed unchangeable for so long, passion and renewed enthusiasm follows.

Importantly, I teach them and all people that I work with, how to feel good for no reason, so that when they have a reason, they feel even better.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. “What Is NLP?”

A. NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is the study of the structure of subjective experience and what can be calculated from that.

How I define NLP is the closest thing we have to a user’s guide to the brain, with the brain being an organic super-computer.

The software that we run the brain with is made up of sensory data from the five senses, comprised of pictures, sounds, feelings/tactile sensations, smells and taste sensations. From this raw sensory experience we process and build our representation of the world.

For example - why do some people enjoy some activities/experiences and some people dislike those same activities? Think about this…it isn’t the activity/experience that decides how we think/feel otherwise there wouldn’t be any opinions, everybody would agree…it is how we internally filter the external experience using the universal modelling processes (e.g. beliefs, generalisations, etc.) that is how we decide what to decide.

Eh? I may well hear you say.

Well, what’s probably primarily relevant if you are reading this, is that like all processes, there is a glitch every so often, where we don’t get the result that we want or need, and that is where I come in to help.

I find out what you want to happen and show you how to utilize the system and get the results that you want, automatically (and with a good feeling), the way our minds are generally designed to operate.

Q. "What results can I expect from learning
and using NLP?"

A.. To me, NLP is about improving quality of life for all. Learning to have more freedom of choice in what we do and how we live, more fun overall and better communication with ourselves as well as others.

Using NLP methods and techniques gives us greater awareness of what we do to create our perceived reality and a more conscious approach to facilitating change.

What I am offering you are the latest cutting-edge techniques that step-by-step will allow you to make changes for the better.

It is not rocket science, the basics are particularly easy to learn and very effective. However, theorising will not make the changes, NLP is to be experienced.

Q. "What do the techniques of NLP help with?"

A . The techniques of NLP help with anything and everything. Remember that NLP is, simply put, learning how to learn.

So the full spectrum of learning or re-learning is possible.

From taking stuff away with remedial changes, such as getting rid of fears, phobias, unwanted behaviours and compulsions, to changing unwanted emotional responses such as blushing to eliminating panic attacks.

Then there is adding the good stuff, the generative changes, like the accelerated learning of desired new behaviours, making good decisions, creativity, skills acquisition,  feeling good for no reason (it’s your birthright!) plus greater communication with yourself and others, deep relaxation, the list goes on and on.

You want to enhance it, it can be done!

Q. "If I come to you to change something, do I have to re-live unpleasant experiences or talk about stuff that is personal and private?"

A . NLP is not therapy in the common sense, although people often report therapeutical benefits.

NLP is an educational process. You will be taught how to run your brain better. We are more interested in how you are thinking, rather than what you are thinking.

Some sharing of the experience that is to be changed is obviously needed. However, detail and anything private regarding the experience is encouraged to be kept private.

I will work with you on useful ways of changing the structure of experience which in turn changes the meaning of the experience - working with process over content.

Q. "How long does it take to make a change?
For example, changing a phobic reaction?"

This is not quite the ‘how long is a piece of string’ question that people may think. I have worked with many people to get rid of phobias and together we have had great results quickly, ranging from only a few minutes to a few hours, if there are additional changes to make.

Even if the phobia change is only a few minutes, the session itself would usually be approximately an hour and a half in total, as there are some other changes that I have found it useful to make.

I ask questions to gather information, give a few very straight forward, simple and easy instructions to follow.

.

Other times, with changing more generalised feelings or more pervasive behaviours, for example, depression, it maybe worthwhile to take up to three sessions lasting maybe an hour and a half each.

Most importantly, it is a drug-free, educational process and is very easy and straightforward with wonderful permanent and liberating results!

Q. "What if NLP or hypnosis doesn’t work for me or it hasn’t worked for me in the past?"

A . Every practitioner or trainer of NLP will have a different level of skill, attitude and experience. If an NLP or hypnotic technique didn’t work for you in the past it doesn’t mean it isn’t possible to get the change that you want using NLP.

Perhaps the NLP techniques used weren’t suited to you or the change that you require.

Perhaps something was missed in the original plan that was constructed for you.

Perhaps that person at that time didn’t know to make that one adjustment that would have made all the difference for you.

Remember, if you want to change a response or behaviour and you are finding it difficult, you have already proved that you are someone who has learned something long-lasting!

Keep the learning ability and tenacity and just learn to run a better program of your choice. Contact me.

Q. "This is all well and good for others
but I don’t believe it will work for me"

Well, most people believe that or something similar at first.

For example, we are born with only two fears. The fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. All the other fears that a person may have are learned.

What you have learned you can unlearn.

If you have learned to do something unpleasant then you can learn to replace it with something of your choice.

Q. "If it does work for me then it won’t last"

A . I have heard this prediction often. We are learning machines. You remembered how to maintain the problem, so you can remember the solution. I will teach you how.
